|The Feast of Saint Medí|
The Feast of Saint Medí or St Medir. Groups of people "colles" are organized and during the day they walk by the streets on horses, vans, etc. throwing sweets to the people who is standing in the streets. This year they were 29 "colles" and were thrown 13.000 kg of sweets.
The origins of the celebration are: In the 19th century there was a man who was ill and his prayers to Saint Medí give him back the health. He was a sweets maker. To show to everybody that he was not yet ill thanks to the Saint, he walked around the streets riding his horse and throwing sweets to the people.
