The Fox and the Grapes

 

In one summer day, the fox was walking through the vineyards. She was thirsty and was happy when she saw a grape up on the top of the vine prop.  She jumps to catch it, but she didn't reach it.  She said "It is clear, the grapes are to sour! And I don't like the grapes after all!"  She finds an excuse not to go on.  When the fox can't reach the grapes, she says that they are sour!  Retold and English version: Octavian Rachieru Artwork: Mãdãlina Pavel

 

Vulpea si strugurii

Într-o zi de varã vulpea se plimba printre podgorii. Îi era tare sete. Se bucurã când vãzu un strugure sus, în vârful aracului.
Fãcu un salt, dar nu ajunse. Îsi fãcu vânt si sãri si mai sus, dar zadarnic.
Îsi spuse: "E clar, strugurii sunt prea acri! Si mie în general nu-mi plac strugurii!"
Gãsise usor o scuzã sã nu mai persevereze.
Când vulpea nu ajunge la struguri, ea spune cã sunt acri!
