This game can be played at least in three.
The ideal number of players is fifteen.
The players get into two teams; each team member must choose to be a number.
Then the two teams stand in two opposite lines, each team member facing the member of the other team with the same number.
A child stands between the ends of two lines, at the same distance from each, with a handkerchief (the "flag") hanging from his/her hand, arm stretched.
Then, the child with the handkerchief calls out a number. The two challenging players who "are" that number must run to take the handkerchief. The child who gets it first and who can run back his/her team without being caught by the challenging player scores a point. The team who scores more points is the winner.
Actions like pushing the challenging player and not standing within the prescribed distances are not allowed.

ORIGINAL EN ITALIÀ

In questo gioco si può giocare minimo in tre.
Il numero ideale dei giocatori è di quindici bambini.
I bambini che giocano si dividono in due squadre e poi ognuno si deve scegliere un numero. Un bambino sta nel mezzo con un fazzoletto, le due squadre sono allineate su due righe alla stessa distanza dal bambino con il fazzoletto.
Dopo, il bambino con il fazzoletto deve chiamare un numero.
I due bambini che hanno quel numero devono correre a prendere il fazzoletto.

VERSIÓN AL ESPAÑOL

A este juego pueden jugar tres como mínimo, pero el número ideal es de 15 jugadores.
Los jugadores se dividen en dos equipos y luego cada uno debe asignarse un número.
Un niño está enmedio con un pañuelo. Los dos equipos están alineados a la misma distancia del niño del pañuelo.
Entonces el niño del pañuelo debe decir un número. Los dos niños que tienen aquel número deben correr para coger el pañuelo.

Habría que añadir que el que no coge el pañuelo queda eliminado a no ser que atrape al jugador contrario que corre hacia su lugar con el pañuelo, en cuyo caso será ése quien quede eliminado. El juego termina cuando un equipo se queda sin jugadores.

En la Garrotxa jugábamos con el nombre de "LA BANDERETA". En Barcelona le llaman "EL JOC DEL MOCADOR" ("EL JUEGO DEL PAÑUELO").

VERSIÓ AL CATALÀ

A aquest joc hi poden jugar un mínim de tres, però el nombre ideal de jugadores és de quinze. Els jugadors es divideixen en dos equips i després cada u
s'ha d'assignar un número.
Un nen està al mig amb un mocador. Els dos equips estan aliniats a banda i banda damunt una ratlla a la mateixa distància de l'infant del mocador.
Aleshores el nen del mocador ha de dir un número. Els dos nens que tenen aquell número han de córrer a agafar el mocador.

Caldria afegir que queda eliminat el qui no agafa el mocador, a no ser que aconsegueixi atrapar el seu contrincant que fuig corrent amb el mocador cap al seu equip. Si és així, será aquest altre l'eliminat. El joc acaba quan un equip es queda sense jugadors.

A la Garrotxa hi jugàvem amb el nom de "LA BANDERETA". A Barcelona en diuen "EL JOC DEL MOCADOR".
